Needed Materials

A binder-  You must have a one inch binder.  Spiral notebooks will not work for my class.  We have a lot of papers we add to our notebooks and we must stay organized. A binder is the best way to do this.
Note book paper
Pen or pencil

I will provide any materials needed for in class activities such as colored pencils, markers, construction paper, scissors and glue.

I suggest students have index cards and glue sticks at home for creating flash cards.

FASTRACK Workbooksand Civics Today Text Books

Each student will be issued a Civics Today text book.  Because the text book is not exactly aligned to the Virginia SOLs we will not be using it vry much in class.  Instead students will be issued a Fast Track work book that is perfectly aligned with the Virginia SOLs. Students must bring the work book to class.   Each unit has the key vocabulary words and their definitions.  Students can write in the books and we will use them for note taking.  Students should take them home to study and help with homework.
